Silicon Valley Comes to the UK (SVC2UK) has announced Eagle Genomics is one of the 75 high-growth technology companies joining the 2018 ‘Scale Up Club’, which annually celebrates the most-promising businesses from across the UK that are scaling fast.
This year, the Scale Up Club is partnered by the Duke of York’s Pitch@Palace and start up accelerator Entrepreneur First, with 15 Pitch@Palace businesses and seven Entrepreneur First members joining the club - bringing together some of the UK’s foremost programmes for entrepreneurs from start-up to scale-up.
The innovative business leaders of all 75 scale ups will get access to mentors from the UK and the US and introductions to networks in Silicon Valley. This year’s mentors include Megan Smith, Co-Founder Shift 7 and the 3rd CTO for the US; Bob Goodson, founder of Quid; Cal Henderson, Co-Founder and CTO of Slack, Karen Appleton Page, formerly on the exec team of Box and now an investor. Small workshops are held throughout the morning of the CEO Summit, with mentors helping the Scale Up Club members to address their current challenges in scaling.
The CEO Summit is the flagship event of SVC2UK, which was launched in 2006 by Sherry Coutu CBE, Reid Hoffman and Ellen Levy. Previous Scale Up Club alumni such as TransferWise and SkyScanner are now valued at over $1 billion and represent some of the UK’s most successful technology companies. Part of London & Partners, London's international promotional organisation, SVC2UK brings together the top entrepreneurs and VCs from Silicon Valley, with students, early-stage CEOs, serial entrepreneurs and policymakers in the UK to inspire entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic prosperity.
