The Eagle Browser
The Eagle Browser, also known as the EnsemblMirrorVM, is a VMware appliance that contains an embedded copy of the Ensembl® genome browser server software. With a single click you can have a fully working local copy of the server, without any of the hassle of installing it or the many dependencies that it has.
The Eagle Browser is available for free download (see below). The free version contains a copy of the server software, and connects to the public databases hosted by the Ensembl® project. Please read the warning in the downloads section before downloading.
Eagle Genomics can work with you to customise the appliance to include specific species mirrored locally, or to convert and display genomes that you have produced in-house. We can also create custom tracks based on your local data, or create a complete local mirror of the whole of Ensembl® including all the databases.
