location
Eagle is based in the Moneta building at the Babraham Research Campus, a 'bioincubator' park just South of Cambridge, UK, and at the heart of the Cambridge biotechnology cluster. The campus, owned by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), is also home to the BBSRC Babraham Institute and a host of companies taking advantage of the excellent facilities made available by Babraham Bioscience Technologies (BBT), the campus managers.
The Moneta building itself is home to a number of labs and offices associated with companies in the bioincubator, Eagle included, and provides quality flexible accommodation. Eagle's neighbours include some of the most exciting prospects for the future of Cambridge's biotechnology industry. The campus was recognised in 2011 by the UK government as playing a key part in the growth of the UK economy. As a result it was awarded a grant of several million pounds to expand and improve the facilities in order to attract more research activity and investment into the area.
BBT provide Eagle with access to many valuable benefits, including use of the boardrooms in the main hall for meetings, and discounted rates to hire the on-campus conference centre for the annual Eagle Bioinformatics Symposium.
